The Natural Divan Bed Collection Pure Luxury Quality Explained

Our largest selling bed collection is the luxurious Natural Divan Bed Collection as they deliver the ultimate luxurious sleep to our customers throughout Europe.

Whilst of course you can see the amazing reviews of customers who own a Natural Divan bed, many ask what actually creates such a luxurious bed. Here is a bit more information explaining the pure quality of this bed collection and what fantastic value they are too.

Lets start with the top of the range model The Platinum 5500 Divan Bed Model

This luxury mattress features a 5500 pocket spring system at its core, independently and actively sensing your shape and weight distribution, providing comfort and support exactly where you need it.

Crowning the Natural 5500 Platinum mattress is a sumptuous box pillow top featuring generous layers of natural materials, Wool, Silk, Cashmere and Cotton. The mattress is then covered with the finest Belgian damask fabric to provide an exquisite, soft and silky sleep surface.

This luxurious bed benefits from 5500 individually nested pocket springs added across 2 layers creating the ultimate comfort.

When you think the average pocket sprung mattress has between 1000-1500 pocket springs, this model has an extra 4000- 4500 of them.

It's then completed with a luxurious attached mattress topper for maximum comfort.

The mattress itself has a fantastic depth at 42 CM and is perfect for the warmer climates, especially as it's manufactured from 100% Natural fibres which allows the mattress to breathe during those hot nights.

The 5500 model is simply the finest manufactured mattress in Europe providing the ultimate, comfortable nights sleep.

When it comes to value it is also outstanding. With the bed starting at just £1099 it's at least £2500 cheaper in  comparison to any other mattress close to its quality build and design.

Now let's look at the Natural Gold 3500 Model

Fantastic value, starting at just £899. The Gold model has all the above features of the 5500 model apart from its individual pocket springs. It has 3500 instead of 5500 and has a mattress depth of 38 CM, making the mattress slightly lower. It still comes with the luxury attached mattress topper and is a lovely product.

Natural Silver 2000 Model

The natural silver 2000 model is again made from 100% natural fibres but with 2000 pocket springs, which is still a excellent amount for great comfort. With a starting price of just £745 it presents fantastic value. The mattress depth is 35 CM. Please note this model doesn't come with the attached mattress topper.

Finally we come to the Natural Bronze 1500 Model

The Natural Bronze model is manufactured from 1500 individual pocket springs as well of course 100% natural fibres. As this bed starts at just £699 it presents fantastic value for money for its quality build and is an ideal bed for those spare rooms, to give your guests a luxury and comfortable sleep on their visits. It's also a fantastic bed of quality for those who wish a lesser depth mattress of 32 CM. This Natural Collection model still has 1500 pocket springs for great comfort every night.

What Is A Pocket Sprung Mattress?

We all know the importance of a good night’s sleep and achieving your perfect night’s sleep should begin with a good quality mattress. You need to take the time to make sure the mattress is right for you, but with so many different mattress types on the market, knowing where to start can be overwhelming. One of the first questions you may find yourself asking is what is a pocket spring mattress?

A pocket spring mattress contains individual springs which are sewn into their own pocket of fabric. A pocket spring mattress will typically have a higher spring count than other types of mattresses and these individual springs work completely independently from one another. This ensures the springs support you where you need it the most

Open coil mattress vs pocket spring mattress

Open coil mattresses are typically mass produced and are at the budget-end of the mattress market. The springs within an open coil mattress are linked together by one piece of wire, meaning that the springs are not able to move independently from one another, unlike a pocket spring mattress. The open coil springs move as one unit, so moving around in the night is likely to disturb your partner.

By contrast, the springs in a pocket spring mattress work completely independently from one another. This allows you to re-position yourself on your mattress without causing disturbance to your partner beside you.

Memory foam mattress vs pocket spring mattress

A memory foam mattress is an alternative to a pocket spring mattress, whereby the heat of your body softens the memory foam, allowing your body shape to mould to the mattress. This may provide your body with support but memory foam retains its heat and doesn’t allow your body to breathe. Memory foam often causes you to get hot whilst you sleep, especially in the warmer months, leading to a restless night’s sleep.

Our Individual pocket springs are layered into every Natural collection mattress, and they ensure you are fully supported through the night. The innovative spring system contours to your body as you shift position through the night, providing a supportive and responsive alternative to a memory foam mattress. Plus you won’t overheat. Every Natural mattress uses 100% natural fillings including flax and Yorkshire Eco Wool. These natural materials have inherent temperature regulating properties, allowing you to remain cool throughout the night.

Why pick a Natural Collection  pocket spring Bed?

At the heart of every Natural Collection bed is our innovative Sensa Intelligent Pocket Spring System This tiered spring system is unique to the Natural Collection and with mattresses featuring up to 5500 individual pocket springs, the sleeper’s weight is distributed across a higher number of independent pocket springs. This ensures you maintain the perfect sleeping posture whilst you rest and reduces the build-up of pressure points. Our innovative spring technology is key to offering ultimate comfort and support whilst you sleep.

We also ensure excellence by only ever creating the best quality beds and mattresses. This is achieved through our state of the art lab, where we carry out rigorous testing to ensure the strength and durability of our pocket spring mattresses are the absolute best. All testing is carried out in-house and to the highest British and European standards.

So here's what a pocket spring looks like and how they work whilst you sleep.

With the Natural 5500 & 3500 models, the mattress has 2 layers of pocket springs on top of each other hence the mattress depths of 42 CM and 38 CM.

The 2000 & 1500 models have one layer as shown in the image above. As you can see each Pocket spring works and performs on an individual basis allowing for the contours of your body and your body weight.

We hope this explains fully the benefits of a pocket sprung bed and explains the full quality involved in our Natural divan bed collection.
